Choose at least three of the authors (Machiavelli, Luther, Descartes, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau), explain their disagreement with ancient philosophy, implications on this agreement on their philosophy. You should make clear now only what their views are, but also how they arrive and justify their views.

Please write the essay
within the boundary of the given texts.
The difference between ancient philosophers and Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau in big picture would be
understanding the world compared to understanding human nature and considering the nature of government
forms compared to considering the nature of individuals within the government.
Further arguments could include few of conflicting viewpoints regarding the state of nature, purpose of
government, private property, leadership of government (government forms), and etc.
Please start with an introduction that compares the two at a larger scale. Then, continue on with following
paragraphs about what the ancient philosophers argued. And, give examples of Hobbes’, Locke’s, and
Rousseau’s disagreement with ancient philosophy. Also, for each of these philosophers include how they arrive
and justify their views. Lastly, end the essay with a concluding paragraph that wraps up the paper’s argument
and add a touch of opinion to it.
Please utilize the pdf files of the textbooks and insert quotations throughout the paper. I have also included notes
on each of the books that should be dealt with.
