You will write about EITHER one issue area in two countries OR two issues areas in one country, in a
classic compare and contrast format. Are the values, organizational formats/methods (provision,
financing, arranging), and outputs/outcomes the same or different? How and why? Do these issue areas
“work” the way that the classic Esping-Andersen typology would predict? How have things changed over
time, if at all?
Each paper should be about 1500-1750 words long.
