Impact of Regulation and Laws

Impact of Regulation and Laws

After completing the readings for this module, specifically the Clark, Kimbell, Philpot and Terry (2016) case study, it is time to try your hand at applying these legal aspects of HR to a practical scenario. Hazing and bullying have become recent trends for HR leaders. What actions should Jeff Ireland take to support the future of the Miami Dolphins in light of the Jonathan Martin accusations? Be sure your recommendations are legally sound and supported.
Employee discrimination is also a significant issue in this case. What suggestions would you give the general manager with respect to taking or not taking action against Richie Incognito and other Miami Dolphins employees? Do you believe the Miami Dolphins or Richie Incognito have any concerns relating to legal liability from this case? Explain why or why not from an HR and legal perspective.
