Conduct an Evidence Review Overview:
• Identified 10 articles
• Then MUST complete the paper as clearly described in Sections 1-6 as below (with all the details as listed)

Case Study:

  • You are the Vice President of Human Resources Department of “the Company”
  • The company is a multi-national firm, that produces GPS
  • “The Company” ‘s current issue: decrease in staff retention
  • An interview with staff stating that there is: lacking work/life balance
  • Issue: Lack of Flexible working environment in the company
  • Aim: improve staff retention.

Section 1:
Purpose of the study (2 page)
It’s rationale (see paragraph A as below)
The research question:
What kind of HRM practices need to manipulate for work-life balance and flexible working environment to increase staff retention?

Section 2:
“Method” (no more than 2 pages), which MUST include:
• Method for identifying evidence
• Include databases searched
• Include specific search terms used
• Include exclusion and inclusion criteria

Section 3:
“Analysis and Synthesis” (no more than 8 pages), which MUST include:
• Provide characteristics of evidence
• Conduct a quality appraisal (as in Table 3 in Section 6, required)
• Synthesis of themes and patterns found within the 10 articles (list the CODES of the each 10 articles, as in Table 4 and 5, in Section 6, required, put the information of code, themes and patterns to Appendices)

Section 4:
“Recommendations: (no more than 5 pages), which MUST include:
• Recommendations for “The company”
• Recommendations for other companies facing similar situations
• Broader implications for management practice
• Broader implications for academic research and study limitations
• Conclusion (only a paragraph or so)

Section 5 : References (no page limit)

Section 6: Appendices (MUST DO)
Table 1: List of databases searched, to include search words, time period/range of articles (1 page)
Table 2: List of 10 articles used with some descriptive information (e.g., type of method, RQ, variables considered, findings) (2 page)
Table 3: Your results of a quality appraisal (1 page)
Table 4: List of CODES from each of the 10 articles (1 page)
Table 5: Unique themes identified from within each of the 10 articles, including a visual way to identify common themes across all or most or many of the 10 articles. (the codes and themes can be combined into one Table) (1 Page)
Figure 6: PRISMA flow chart ( 1 page)

• MUST use the framework of benchmark tool: TAPUPAS
• Make critical and objective observations of the characteristics of the studies that emerged from your evidence search, including, but not limited to, the following: the use of a qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods approach, the relative size of the dataset used to make findings, whether or not conclusive evidence exists with which to make findings, study limitations, other characteristics you deem pertinent
