PROCESS DESCRIPTION: Mass & Energy Balances on a Combustion: Justify the selections qualitatively Chamber and Membrane cell
All two submissions are related to the process described below. A natural gas (�ሶଵ) and biogas
(�ሶ ଶ) are combusted in the combustion chamber, by reacting it with Air entering in stream
�ሶ ଷ. Combusted gases (�ሶ ସ) are passed through a membrane to separate some or all N2 (�ሶ ହ)
and exhaust gas(�ሶ ଺).
The natural gas, and biogas, with the compositions given in your data sheet (Data for Group
Project_2020.pdf).
For this individual study, each student are required to select a pair of input/output to do the
case study/optimize the process (you may refer to the provided examples pair). NOTE: The
members from the same group have to select different pairs of input/output.
