Which communicable (infectious) disease problems are reported most frequently? What is the rarest?
Look for Influenza-like Illness Reports/Weekly Flu Activity Reports and describe what you found. What surprised you? It may look like just numbers but, in healthcare, we watch, especially the flu reporting!
Choose one question Out of the three above
Follow the instructions below :
For each of the three discussion posts of each week complete A-E:
A. Provide a brief introduction to the topic then write down the claim in bold and underline the claim.
B. Provide a logic rationale for the claim and take into consideration:
- Claims need to be well researched utilizing high impact factor journals.
- All claims need to be substantiated with evidence utilizing data (numbers, metrics, statistics):
- List: Evidence 1 and Evidence 2 or more
- explain metrics within the text
- ( see example of a quality discussion post under content)
C. Then such data need to be visualized with graphics, figures, tables, which also need to have their sources listed. Students may place graphics, figures, tables into an appendix and cite such within the text and then list the source under references.
D. Each discussion post needs to be summarized with one logical conclusion (write “In conclusion” or “In summary” ….) followed by the main point (including the claim) the audience needs to understand.
E. Each of the three discussion posts requires AT LEAST two references from high impact factor journals younger than five years old (unless it is a landmark publication). Neither Wikipedia nor a citation of no date (n.d.) will be accepted as a valid reference.
