Evaluating Disparate Impact and Employee Selection

First paragraph (introduction): Explain/define “Selection System” and why it is important to evaluate it. There are 2 types of approaches indicated in the assignment: Legal Perspective and Decision Making Accuracy. You will need to do additional research for these so you better understand them and why/how they are used.

Second Paragraph (Legal Perspective):  Using the information provided in the assignment (page 26), you will conduct the analysis for determining if there is any disparate treatment or disparate impact type of discrimination.
•	Identify the selection ratios for the three groups listed
•	Answer the following questions:  (1) Does adverse impact exist when you compare the African-American applicant pool with the Caucasian pool?  Explain your answer by showing your work (if you have to attach it as a separate document, that is fine (just indicate in your paper) (2) Does adverse impact exist when you compare the Latino applicant pool with the Caucasian applicant pool? Explain your answer by  showing your work (if you have to attach it as a separate document, that is fine (just indicate in your paper)
Third paragraph (Decision-Making Accuracy): Using the information in the table on page 27, answer each question (paragraph form) – you will have to complete the necessary calculations first.
•	For your final paragraph, compare the answers to questions 2 and 3 and then explain why or why not you think the bank’s system is effective– explain your reasoning.
Fourth paragraph (summary for Part 3):  Summarize the information for the selection systems (pros and cons of each).
Reference Page:  List your references (sources) used in your paper to answer the questions regarding the selection process.  They must be in APA format.
